I am going to be towing a 2004 Grand Am and i am really not sure of all there is to do it.I am considering a tow dolly as i also could tow a 1500 Chevy p/u with a standard tranny. It seems the car will tow with no extras such as driveshaft disconnect or a lube pump but i am not sure about the rest.Any ideas?
Thanks D.J. |

According to Motorhome 2004 Dingy Towing list the Grand Am SE is towable 4 down. It would need a plate to hook the tow bar to and probably needs a breaking system either a surge brake or one of the other available. Even if it is not required by law it is good for safety reasons. You would also need to be able to hook the tail, brake and turn signal lights to you motorhome or add and external set.
